RPAC REALTOR® Party
RPAC, REALTORS® Political Action Committee, is one of the strongest and most successful advocacy organizations in the nation. RPAC collects voluntary investments from REALTORS®, giving us a seat at the table with legislative and policy decision makers across the local, state, and national level. Together, we can advocate for REALTORS®, the real estate industry, and business, property, and homeowners alike. RPAC is a fair, legal, and vital way for REALTORS® to speak in a unified voice. RPAC protects the future of real estate in America.
What has RPAC Accomplished for YOU?
- Worked for reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program
- Helped create the First-Time Homebuyers Savings Account
- Prevented taxes on real estate commissions
- Prevented transfer tax increases and reduced property taxes
- Supported legislation protecting private property rights
- Supported the use of electronic signatures for real estate documents
- Increased FHA/VA loan limits

Professional Standards
REALTORS® Pledge of Performance and Service
The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® adopted the Code of Ethics in 1913, following the professions of medicine, law, and engineering.
REALTORS® are real estate professionals who have chosen to join the National Association and abide by its strict Code of Ethics.
What does this mean to you? It means that any REALTOR® with whom you work has voluntarily agreed to abide by a Code of Ethics, based on professionalism and protection of the public.
REALTORS® are subject to disciplinary action and sanctions if they violate the duties imposed by the Code of Ethics. The Code of Ethics is a detailed document that spells out the professional responsibilities of every REALTOR®. Do not hesitate to ask a REALTOR® for a copy of the Code, including the Standards of Practice. The Code is your assurance of dealing with a professional who has your best interests in mind. The Code of Ethics consists of seventeen Articles and related Standards of Practice.
Code of Ethics
NAR’s Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code ensures that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients’ best interests.
Code of Ethics training is required of NAR members every 3 years.
